What a Very (lol) exciting day yesterday was as I attended the Very Party blogging event in Liverpool. I travelled to Liverpool from Manchester and made my way to Very HQ with my jolly levels high and hoping for a Christmas themed party. Very did not disappoint as the room was transformed into a sparkly winter wonderland, a bit like how I see my brain at the moment as I cant stop belting Christmas carols and I’m on the countdown to eating cheese, pigs in blankets and anything in the fridge.

I’ve been to quite a lot of blogger events but this one was one of the first times I’ve actually met other bloggers so I was happy to make new friends and ask people what cameras that they use to achieve the best photos. I’m ordering a new camera that I’ve had my eye on for a while next week in the black Friday sale and it worked out perfectly as two girls I was chatting to yesterday both had the camera and were letting me try it out for myself (which I thought was so nice considering we had just met). All about friendly bloggers ๐Ÿ™‚

Walking in, the room was divided into sections of womenswear, menswear and children and based at the back of the room were Skin doctor skincare, Illamasqua and Lola Rose Jewellery- it was fabulous to meet you all and I’m really excited to try out my goodies. Anyone that knows me knows that I am obsessed with glitter and right as I walked in there was a glitter section that honestly could be my wardrobe at home. I loved this section as it was filled with rich coloured dresses and jackets filled with sequins and shine, perfect for this time of year as I love a sparkly number in the festive season.

They even had some silvery grey sparkly knee-high boots, a favourite trend of mine that reappears every winter. I love a winter boot and especially a glam version! One of my favourite items of the day was a bee clutch bag. Being from Manchester I’m obsessed with anything with a bee on. Very actually have a pink clutch bag with a bee on that I’ve had in my shopping bag saved ready for payday. Proud manchester girl here! It was just beautiful and a few other bloggers were commenting on the clutch bag too, definitely found a blogger favourite there! Can we just appreciate how sparkly this section is!!! Speaking of sparkle, I have changed my blog name to something that’s a bit more ‘me’!

Moving onto the men’s section I began by looking at the beautiful ted baker suits and extremely shiny brogues! I really enjoy looking at men’s clothing, especially when you have a boyfriend as I think it’s nice to see what would suit them and what styles they would look good in! The books pictured here actually came in my goodie bag so I have passed this onto a happy Harry as the book covers how to tie a tie, what colour shoes look best with different suits and a measuring chart to ensure the perfect fit.

I spotted a unicorn bag (obviously) in the children’s section so went to have a look at the beautiful little dresses that at 23 I would still wear today. I couldn’t believe how tiny some of the shoes and outfits were! There were a few children at the event yesterday who also seemed to be enjoying themselves and mingling with all the bloggers haha.
The visual merchandising of the room was perfect, I loved the layouts and how the colours complimented each other. As you walked in there was a light installation with some extremely pretty shoes. I fell in love with a rainbow pair and a crystal pair that reminded me of the Jimmy Choo Cinderella heels. I love when companies like Very sell shoes that are an exact dupe for designer pairs! Love a dupe.

I was lucky enough to have a full face of makeup done by the lovely girls at Illamasqua. slightly daunting having a room of bloggers watching my bare face-up close, however, a really interesting task for me whilst picking up some handy tips on how to apply my makeup! I had a smokey glittery eye which was perfect for me, I loved the finished look and can’t wait to try out my Illamasqua pieces from my gift bag. Speaking of my gift bag, I’m going to do a ‘what’s in my gift bag’ post as I have some really nice gifts I want to talk about. Can’t thank you enough Very for spoiling me!
With a photo booth, very themed cupcakes, lots of Christmas trees and Christmas songs, I had a fantastic day filled with fun and Christmas cheer. Make sure you check out the Very website this Christmas, especially as Black Friday is just around the corner ๐Ÿ˜‰ http://www.very.co.uk/

Happy shopping!
